Omni Ice Pulse Pads: Fast Drainage Solution
Recently, the team at My Cold Therapy did a training on how to properly drain your Omni Ice Pulse Compression Pads. This process is essential for maintaining the pads and ensuring their longevity, especially when storing them for extended periods. Below is a step-by-step guide to help you drain your cold therapy pads efficiently.
Drain Plug Gadget
One of the frequent questions we receive is how to drain the Omni Ice Pulse Compression Pads. Fortunately, the Omni Ice system comes equipped with a drain plug, specifically designed for this purpose. The drain plug allows you to easily remove excess water from the pad after use, ensuring it's ready for storage or the next treatment.
Step-by-Step Guide
When you finish your cold therapy treatment and need to drain the pad, follow these steps:
-
Position the Pad: Start by turning on the machine and holding the pad as high as possible above the unit for about 10 to 20 seconds. This step will help to automatically drain some water from the pad.
-
Unhook the Pad: After the initial drain, take the pad over to a sink and unhook it from the machine. Expect a small amount of water to drip out at this point.
-
Use the Drain Plug: Take the drain plug and insert it into the pad just as you would connect it to the machine. Hold the pad over the sink and allow the water to drain naturally.
-
Squeeze the Pad: As the water flow slows, gently squeeze the pad from the top to help expel any remaining water. You may need to repeat this squeezing process two or three times to fully empty the pad.
By following these steps, you can ensure that your cold therapy pad is thoroughly drained and ready for storage without the risk of mold or other issues.
