Breg® Polar Care Wave Cold Compression Therapy System
Breg® Polar Care Wave combines motorized cold therapy with active compression in a simple and compact system, making it ideal for facility and home use. Polar Care Wave is easily transported from the hospital, physical therapy clinic or athletic training room to the patient’s home, extending the benefits of cold and compression. Polar Care Wave encourages natural healing, reducing the need for narcotic pain medications.
Breg® Polar Care Wave is designed to reduce pain and edema to optimize patient recovery. Motorized cold therapy and compression devices, like Polar Care Wave, have also been shown to decrease narcotic use post-operatively.¹ United States Federal Law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a medical professional.
The Breg® Polar Care Wave System is intended to treat post-surgical and acute injuries to reduce edema, swelling, and pain where cold and compression are indicated. It is intended to be used by or on the order of licensed healthcare professionals in hospitals, outpatient clinics, athletic training settings, or home settings.

Very good design. Easy to use. Ready for knee replacement surgery next week.
I recently had rotator cuff surgery. I was told how painful and difficult the recovery would be. I live alone so I needed to make sure I had a way to ice my shoulder myself. I decided to get the Breg Polar wave. I used the wave everyday, all day (unless I was sleeping) for 10 days after my surgery. I was given 20 OxyContin and only used 6 in the first 2 days. My pain level was only a 1 or 2 the entire time.
I am now in week 9 of my recovery and my mobility and range is far beyond most others. I highly recommend this device. The ice lasts 6-8 hours and at time my friends had to bring me ice, since my fridge was not able to keep up. I should have used frozen water bottles. Also it is not paid for by insurance. 😢. I think it is money well spent. 👍🏽
Bought for a badly sprained ankle - it is quiet, effective and cold - it gets the cold and compression to the ankle without awkward wraps and the cold is therapeutic not painful. Simple to use and clean - great product!
I bought it for my husband after having knee surgery, worth every penny!
I am 31 and have arthritic knees (according to orthopedic - like that of an 82 year old), and will need knee replacement as soon as the insurance will allow it. For now, I'm on pain management but I don't want to have to increase my dosage too much, so my p.m. Dr. suggested I try this. It's helping a ton and I've only used it twice so far. Really helps on those days that the barometric pressure changes and pain medicines don't really help on those days. Definitely worth the investment!
