Four Points of Leverage
The straps are positioned to enhance the support of the ACL.
Sleeve Vs. Wraparound
Sleeves require you to remove your shoe and slide the brace over your foot. Fits more snugly and stays in place. Once it's on it's requires little adjustment. The negative of a sleeve is it doesn't work well over pants. Wraparound braces are easier to apply especially for those with less hand strength and can be worn over thin pants. The velcro can be tightened or loosened for a more adjustable fit. Great for users who can't bend over as well and have trouble getting a sleeve on or off. The negative of a wraparound brace is the velcro can loosen during activity requiring a quick tightening of the Velcro.
Hi10™(high tenacity nylon/spandex fabric) offers unmatched comfort and fit
DonJoy's New Advanced Spacer fabric promotes a "cool" environment for activities on all levels
Molded strap tabs allow quick and easy strap adjustments to deliver a secure and comfortable fit. (Only available on the Drytex material)

Acl reconstruction and meniscus repair support after about a month

Great upgrade from my locked post ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair surgery brace when I was released for weightbearing as tolerated and unlimited flexion and extension. If I had gone through my surgeon office my insurance company wanted $750. With expedited shipping and a $10 discount code my order was $170. It does come with things that will lock your brace but you’d have to a specialist show you how to place them ( unless you know more than me about taking apart braces!) It’s very sturdy and comfortable. I like the shape of the knee hole bc it doesn’t press on my scars or kneecap. The Velcro is well designed to stay put and it’s pretty sturdy. It’s easy to put on and take off. It would be a lot for a less serious injury…. This gives lots of support and limits flexion and extension slightly even without the metal pieces.

knee brace

Item was not described to know any details. It is too large, and does not have a knee hinge. Return policy is too complicated and impossible or me to fulfill. Without having enough advance information, and not able
to use, I rate it an F.

Best brace ever

I've had 2 total knee replacements on each knee with 6" stems in both fib/tib and femurs. I've had 2 reconstructions on both with my left knee getting a hinged joint Sept 2nd 2021. I hunt alot, and ride horses alot, cowboyin most the summer. This Don Joy playmaker 2 is perfect. It doesn't restrict my knee cap with the usual donut padding. The 4 top strap construction is so comfortable as with other braces, the strap connections on the backside get caught on my saddle. I don't even feel like I have a brace on. I love it. The exceptional customer service from Supply PT, and quick shipping was very much welcomed. Thank you. These are my knees

It Looks Great!

I'm not a stranger to knee braces at 68 with over 50 yrs rock/ice/mountain climbing, torn meniscus, Acl, Lcl, and total knee replacement using OTC, Ossure unloaders and donjoy Acl braces, the reviews on this playmaker ll sleve looked great. I have been using an Ace hinged brace from Walmart, $24, and it works surprisingly well for the price for a torn Lcl. Was excited about the Playmaker because the quality looks 10 times better than the Ace. The brace was back ordered from Donjoy and the owner went the extra mile to communicate and expedite the brace to me when they received it at SupplyPT. It looks very well made and long lasting even though I knew I was going to put it thru the ringer on rocks, trees, mud and ice. Problem is, my Lcl tear is always swollen and the condyletweak. On the brace presses hard right against my lcl
and is very painful to wear even without standing or bending the knee. The brace is sized perfectly and fits great but pressing on the Lcl is killer. I tried using foam shims above and below the lcl which helped somewhat but didn't look like a permanent solution. Removed the screws thinking I could remove the plastic/velcro pad on the inside of the condyle hinge but it does not disassemble so I have considered cutting it off to leave a little space between the hinge and knee. I also thought of pulling the metal hinge out of the brace and bending it to give more room. The brace was a great price and I don't have a problem altering it to make it work because it looks so darn nice. My Lcl is not torn all the way thru so I'm sticking with it as long as I can. I might be able to cut a donut shape out of foam and place it on the hinge to leave an open space around the lcl. Am also wondering if the playmaker wrap might have been a better choice if it is built differently. Anyone else have an idea for a fix? This brace is supposed to help with lcl and I think it can with the right tweek.

Havent Used Yet, but is what Im looking for

I purchased this brace after suffering a miniscus tear, full acl tear and mcl tear a year ago. I've given up my hocky playing days, mainly out of distrust for others on the ice. Everyone thinks they are getting an NHL contract at 50. In any event, I purchased this brace so that I could still ski with the missus and because I wanted the option to stop my knee from flexing passed a certain point, due to range of motion issues and flexibility. This brace provides that ability. I have not had the chance to actually use it yet skiing (later in December 2021 I will). However it is what I was looking for and I am looking forward to using it.

I purchased from Supply PT , well , mainly because of price. Amazon was charging 70 dollars more. Supply PT is 60 dollars cheaper and due to the 10 dollars off for first purchase and free shipping, I couldn't pass it up. Arrived quickly and in great shape so thank you supply PT.
